Yellow class and Post 16+ created a window display for Whiteleys during Black History Month 2021. They made a sensory backdrop, a ship, models of London icons and cut-outs of people wearing hats of the time to represent those who sailed from the Caribbean to London on the ‘Empire Windrush’ in 1948. Students met some of the workers remodelling the Bayswater building and were presented with books about famous people of colour.
