Welcome from Our Headteacher
I would like to warmly welcome you to our school website, which will give you an idea of the exciting provision we offer at College Park School.
We are a maintained Local Authority school in Westminster, London, for children and young people with autism and complex learning difficulties within the severe range for children and young people between the ages of 4 and 19 years. Referrals for admission to College Park School are made via the Bi-borough SEN department, which is located at Kensington Town Hall.
We are located on a purpose-built site in Westbourne Grove in Westminster, with 3 satellite settings located in Porchester Place, Pimlico and St Johns Wood.
Our school prides itself on having a rich and diverse creative arts curriculum that enables children and young people to reach their potential through expression and creativity.
- Bayswater – ages 7-19
- Hallfield “satellite” at Hallfield Primary School – ages 4-7
- Pimlico “satellite”– Ages 4-11 (opening during 2024)
As the school caters for children and young people with Special Educational Needs, the Local Authority must be satisfied that our school will best meet your child’s needs. We offer our children and young people a positive and supportive learning environment within which we deliver the best possible education to meet their individual learning needs.
We work hard to ensure that all our children and young people feel positive about themselves and their learning and consequently acquire a high level of self-esteem and the skills and knowledge to reach their potential. We aim to instil in our children and young people an understanding of the importance of being part of our community and of the need to value and respect friends, family and staff. We recognise the special importance of school life for every child and young person and their family, and we encourage working in partnership with families to ensure both a productive and happy experience for all concerned.
We hope that you will find this website helpful in providing information about the school and that it fulfils its purpose of enabling parents, carers and professionals to gain an insight into the education and care that we provide. We know that our website may not answer all your questions, so you are most welcome to contact the school for further information.
Best wishes,
Claire Shepherd
