Class Teacher
Lead Teacher: Fatima Kadir
Hello, my name is Fatima! I am the teacher of Rainbow Class and Lead teacher at College Park Hallfield. In my home country Kurdistan, I was a secondary teacher for two years. I learnt how to handle different types of students and gained experience.
Through years of training, I decided to teach students with special needs as I have always been interested in working with them. Personally, it has been a joy to teach students with special needs because it has allowed me to understand students with different abilities.
Throughout my 13 years at College Park school, I've had the opportunity to be the leader of RSE (relationship and sex education) and teach the students how to have sustainable relationships with their peers and the people around them. My approach focuses on creating a safe environment where students can explore their emotions and personal well-being. By working with staff, parents and external professionals, I have ensured that the subject is meaningful and personalised for each individual's abilities.
Recently, I became middle leader of the informal curriculum and leader at College Park school Hallfield. We consistently support our learners to feel safe and regulated whilst having a fun learning environment. We are continuously collaborating with speech therapists and occupational therapists to advance their learning. Safeguarding is also above all our primary focus point when teaching our students.
I am looking forward to working with parents and students to achieve the best method of teaching and to ensure that our students are always in a positive working atmosphere!
