Class Teacher: Elena Garcia

Hi, I’m Elena Garcia, the Kangaroo Class teacher at College Park School. This is my fourth year teaching here, and I’m very passionate about education.

In Kangaroo Class, every day is an adventure focused on helping our students develop essential life skills such as travel training, cooking, self-care, and sensory and emotional regulation—key areas for building independence.

We follow the formal curriculum pathway, covering subjects like Reading, Math, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education (RE), Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE), Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), and Creative Arts.

Community engagement is a vital part of our learning. We regularly take educational trips to local libraries, museums, workshops, and parks, helping our students connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.

Our classroom is supported by a dedicated team of teaching assistants who play a crucial role in turning our plans into reality. Together, we ensure that Kangaroo Class is a dynamic, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
