The Training and Outreach Team at Westminster Special Schools is made up of specialist special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) teachers. They specialise in the following areas of SEND: Autism, speech language and communication;, hearing impairment, vision impairment, occupational therapy and inclusion. Any mainstream school within Westminster and the Tri-borough partners Hammersmith and Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea may access the services on an individual basis to support the highest quality of teaching and learning of children with special needs within a mainstream setting. All members of the team also contribute to a rich and diverse training programme specifically focussing on a wide range of SEND strategies and approaches. The majority of our courses are delivered at our training centre based at Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee School, however, it is also possible to secure the teams services for training in individual schools.
