Community School Partnership
Dear Families of the North Westminster Federation,
As a Federation of Westminster Special Schools, College Park and Queen Elizabeth II Jubliee school proudly serve socially and culturally diverse local communities. Our schools are inclusive places, in which pupils are treated as individuals and learn to become confident, creative and strong members of their community.
Over the last two years, we have been working closely with the other community schools in Westminster to form The Westminster Community Schools Partnership.
Our partnership brings together services through our family hubs, from pre-birth to 25, our nursery schools and nursery classes in our schools, special schools, specialist resource provision and our community primary schools. Collectively, we serve and support almost three thousand children and their families within Westminster and beyond.
Through the Westminster Community Schools Partnership, our mission is to provide resilience in the ever-changing landscape of education whilst at the same time protecting the identities and individual characters of each school and setting. We will do this first and foremost by engaging our school communities directly to complement our vision with their aspirations for a world-class education. But also, through increasing links with our neighbours, professional colleagues from social care and health and through working collaboratively with businesses and charities to remove the barriers that impact negatively upon pupils’ achievement.
This publication ‘Westminster Community Schools: Together for Stronger Schools and Communities’ highlights some of the exemplary practices taking place in our community schools that aim to strengthen and support our children and families. It also lays the foundations for continued collaboration between our schools and services to ensure that we remain ambitious and forward-thinking partnership.
